| Green Libraries | The City of New Orleans is dedicated to promoting a sustainable future. As such, they have decided to develop their own green building certification standard, Green Solutions, designed to be accessible and locally responsive. All new public buildings will be built to these standards, the first of which are the six new libraries. |
| Green Solutions | The City of New Orleans recognizes the opportunity to improve energy efficiency and sustainablity standards as part of the rebuilding effort. In order to promote this goal the City has developed Green Solutions, a mandatory set of standards for new civic buildings. It addresses specific local environmental issues and seeks to improve building standards throughout the city. |
