Green Libraries

About:
The City of New Orleans is dedicated to promoting a sustainable future.  As such, they have decided to develop their own green building certification standard, Green Solutions, designed to be accessible and locally responsive.  All new public buildings will be built to these standards, the first of which are the six new libraries.

Look for these new branches in 2011:

Algiers Regional Library

New Orleans East Regional Library

Nora Navra Neighborhood Library

Norman Mayer District Library

Robert E Smith Community Library

Rosa Keller Library in Broadmoor will obtain LEED certification in addition to Green Solutions.
